Rose Quartz and Serenity InspirationSalem, OR

This inspiration shoot was absolutely a dream to photograph! When Wedding Paper Divas first reached out and talked about collaborating on a shoot, I knew right away that I wanted Samantha of Lewis and Levy to be on board for this one. Our love for clean and simple composition and really similar taste made working on this shoot together really easy. As soon as Sam and I started chatting about details and tossing ideas around, we just couldn’t stop and the excitement was hard to contain. I have to give Sam all the credit for how well everything came together though, she was really the one who pulled all the details together, managed everything, connected with vendors and made the entire thing a reality. We knew that we wanted the end result to feel clean and airy, organic and raw, elegant and light and so we built around that. Finding the prefect crop-top gown was a challenge because we wanted a specific look, and after much searching, when we came across the white, Sarah Seven lace top and flowy bottom, we knew that it was THE ONE. The gown is flirty and elegant, flowy and chic! Combining the embossed, rose gold invitation suite from Wedding Paper Divas with geodes and natural crystals seemed like second nature because the two go together so well. Having handcrafted, raw and organic, one of a kind jewelry pieces only complimented the overall theme. Hand-dyed silk ribbons on the editorial bouquet by the super talented Ponderose & Thyme was a perfect touch! The two-tier cake, adorned by geodes and raw crystals was also one of my favorite details! I couldn’t be happier with how the entire collaboration came together and I’m super excited to share it with you! Thank you so much for taking the time to look over the photos! We were also able to document a fun behind the scenes video- huge thanks to Oleg for making that happen! Video is at the very end of the post, keep scrolling :)

Timeless loveMt.Hood, Oregon

This shoot was nothing short of incredible! The details were tastefully thought through by Seveth Stem Floral Design team, who dreamed of up the entire thing. It was truly an honor to be a part of something so beautiful. Photographing an Elizabeth Dye gown is pure magic; it plays in the wind and cascades beautifully when the model moves. Combining the tulle gown with hand-dyed silk ribbons was brilliant, the two complimented each other. The underlying theme of the shoot was eternity and many elements carried that meaning; starting with the beautiful quote near the escort cards, the majestic, circular wreath, hourglass accent pieces, and wreath details on the stationary goods. The color palette was perfect for this forest setting. Although this shoot came together so nicely and I love how everything turned out, I can’t say that I didn’t wish for at least a little bit of sunshine. The morning of the shoot all Portland got hit by a snow storm, giving us incredibly hard conditions to work in. Aside from grey skies, blizzard-like conditions and frozen flowers, we encountered really dangerous traveling conditions and at the end of it all we were stranded with the team of creatives in one house, which resulted in a big sleepover! This one is defiantly going to be hard to forget! The memories made during a shoot like this was half the fun! So grateful for this community of creatives that become friends and who encourage and inspire each other, pushing each other to grow and to work through insecurities. Here’s to an incredible team, endless love and an epic inspiration shoot! Cheers!

Columbia Gorge Inspiration Shoot

I’m super excited about this shoot! I’ve had a specific vision for how I wanted it all to come together for a while, and to have it come to life was pretty epic! Even more excited about it being featured on Junebug Weddings in a couple weeks! Eeeek! The shoot was set on the lovely Columbia Gorge with a rocky hill as a backdrop and with glorious cliffs all around. I was thrilled to have so many incredible vendors contributing to this shoot, they made it look like a dream! The table was draped with a heavy Russian linen and surrounded by fancy, round-back linen chairs; Together they set the perfect canvas for an elegant display. The two-tier cake was hand painted with gold – gracefulness and simple. The lovely model wore a flowy and feminine gown by Leanne Marshall (5th season winner of Project Runway) which was matched with a soft blush ombre veil by Elizabeth Dye. The ombre was so subtle, soft, and beautiful, if only I could have had one when I was getting married! Another favorite detail was the hand-dyed silk Frou Frou Chic ribbons on the bridal bouquet which played so well in the wind.We were lucky to have a pretty invitation suite with elegant calligraphy all done by Jenny Sanders and the Seventh Stem girls actually used it as inspiration to the flower arrangements. The rest of the little details that were not mentioned you’ll be able to see in the photos. During this shoot, I was also teaching a mini one-on-one workshop to sweet Karra Tipton. I’ll be sharing a behind the scenes video in a couple weeks where you can see how this all came together.

Romantic & Organic Styled Shoot

More than photographing weddings, I love getting to work on inspiration shoots, especially when it’s with incredibly talented industry professionals like these! I got to travel to Chicago a couple times this summer for weddings and during one of the trips this inspiration shoot came together. I shared my vision with Tiffany, the stylist and planner and she really blew me away when I showed up the morning of the shoot! Every single detail was thought through and everything was so beautiful. Tiffany is hands down the best wedding planner I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Since my stay in Chicago wasn’t very long, we had to shoot this at sunrise- which meant getting up at 4 am, but that only added to the excitement (at least for me, I can’t say the same about every one else on the team though). Sadly the weather wasn’t what we had hoped for and we didn’t get any sun rays at all, nonetheless everything worked out and I couldn’t be more proud of the results.

orchard styled shoot

I’m super excited to finally share with you this lovely and sweet inspiration shoot from from last year! This styled wedding shoot has many romantic details with a hint of rustic. The elegance of the dinnerware and flower arrangements give it just a touch of royalty. My favorite thing about this shoot is the softness of the color palette… chiffon pink and light mint go hand in hand. You’ll enjoy the unique combination of fragile china with the gorgeous center piece, crafted together from local orchard fruit, garden roses, and of course peonies!

The inspiration behind the shoot was to create something that will make a bride feel like her wedding is that fairy tale that she’s been dreaming of since she was a little girl. Something that will make her feel like a princess, with softness and elegance… yet keeping it down to earth, simple, and even a bit causal. As the planning process started, inspiration boards came together, the perfect orchard wedding took shape. One thing we knew we needed to have for sure was the dinnerware by Royal Albert… the softness of this specific collection, with a touch of gold is just right! The dishes and silverware already give the whole shoot a feminine feel. An orchard venue, on top of a hill with a majestic view of Mt.Hood and Three Sisters (on a good day) defiantly make it a wonderful location for a Pacific Northwest wedding with a down to earth and casual atmosphere. Inspiration for floral design comes from the fruity orchard and elegant china. The cake simple and sweet with blush pink ombre frosting. Antique furniture completes the look. And of course we cannot over look the bride’s outfit. The perfect type of wedding for a soft, flowy, sheer, die-cut gown. And the shoes- lace inspired die-cut as well, decorate the bride with a splash of delicate color.  A little bit of elegance, a pinch of rustic, a touch of royal, and a whole bunch of beautiful! All these things together make for a charming, feminine outdoor wedding.

Honored to have this styled shoot featured on 100 layer cake!

This is such an exciting time for me, new site, new brand and I’m even more thrilled about the very first, fresh content on here! I couldn’t wait to share this beautiful styled shoot with ya’ll! I loved all the pieces used in the shoot… terrariums, succulents, candles, moss, sequins, lace and so much more pretty goodness!

It was an honor to work together with all the talented professionals to make it all come together. Sadly, since we are in the pacific northwest, and even though it was perfectly sunny the whole week, there was drastic change in weather the morning of our shoot. The temperature dropped quite a bit (actually it was freezing cold!) and it rained hard during the whole day. We kept hoping for a bit of sunshine, but it didn’t happen, which made my job extremely difficult and not to mention the models’! Planning this shoot was one things, but seeing it all come together was so amazing! I’m so proud of how it turned out! Each of the ladies that contributed did such a fantastic job.

Summer Elegance

Such a beautiful shoot! I’ve been dying to share this one! I loved working with the amazingly talented professionals who made this shoot come together so nicely. I adore photographing beautiful things and this was just perfect; soft lace, fresh sweet peas, flowy, satin ribbon, and the stunning gold dress! Not to mention the gorgeous model, I wanted to stop the sun from setting and keep shooting her for a few more hours.
